Melco says City of Dreams Sri Lanka officially opened on 1 August 2025; Wikipedia gives 2 August 2025 for public opening. We say “August 2025” because the sources differ by a day.
Built by John Keells Holdings, it is described as South Asia’s first integrated resort. A wholly-owned local Melco subsidiary holds a 20-year casino licence. The site has two hotels, Cinnamon Life (687 rooms) and Nüwa (113 rooms), 17 restaurants and bars, retail and event space. An Inside Asian Gaming visit in February 2026 counted about 250 slots and 119 table games.
