Quick answer
Two names are real: the Lotus Tower casino is Majestic Pride, and Cinnamon Life is a hotel at City of Dreams. Deltin and Big Daddy are Goa casinos. MGM Colombo was a licensed casino in 2022 but is not among the five operating today. Ritz and Stardust appear only on travel-site lists.
The short answer
The five casinos operating in Colombo are City of Dreams, Bellagio, Bally’s, Casino Marina and Majestic Pride. Inside Asian Gaming names the same five, and an Inland Revenue official says six casino operators hold licences with five operating.
Verdicts
| Name | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Lotus Tower | Real. Majestic Pride operates inside the tower. |
| Cinnamon Life | A hotel at City of Dreams, not a casino. |
| MGM | Real, but not operating now. Inside Asian Gaming reported in 2019 and 2022 that one owner held three of the five casino licences, running Bally’s Colombo, Bellagio Colombo and MGM Colombo. It is absent from IAG’s Feb 2026 list of five operating casinos. Whether it is closed or dormant: Not yet confirmed. |
| Ritz | Travel-site listing only (Thrillophilia). Not yet confirmed. |
| Stardust | Travel-site listing only (Thrillophilia). Not yet confirmed. |
| Continental Club | Same: travel-site listing only. Not yet confirmed. |
| Deltin | A Goa, India casino. Not in Sri Lanka. |
| Big Daddy | A Goa, India casino. Not in Sri Lanka. |
Why the confusion
Travel listings often reuse old or unverified names. The sixth licensed operator is not operating. MGM is the likeliest candidate given the 2022 reports, but that is our inference (not yet confirmed). If you find a Colombo casino we missed, tell us via the contact page.
